Where do I get iRacing setups? ›

When iRacing is installed, a folder named "iRacing" is created in your Documents folder. Within this there will be a folder called setups. The first time you drive a specific car, a subfolder named is created in setups with the name of the car you are driving.

Each week, every iRacing public series takes on a new track, with drivers looking to score the most points possible in public races across various series in order to earn a championship. When the clock strikes midnight on Tuesday, the track changes to the next one on the schedule for each series.

For our newest racers, iRacing Week 13 is our week between the four quarterly iRacing seasons where we debut new content, give our most serious racers a week to recharge between championships, and have some fun with a handful of out-of-the-box ideas.

Your iRacing car setup

The setup of a car (ride height, spring rate, damper settings, aero settings, tire pressure, and so on) will determine how easy the car is to drive around a particular circuit, and how fast it will be!

From here, you can select a Practice, Time Trial, or Race session. A Practice session is like a test session with other drivers. Once you get a feel for the car and track in your test sessions, jump into a Practice session to see how you fare in a race environment with other cars on the track.

The thirteenth week is a special one. This week there comes an update for the next season, and this week you cannot gain or lose your safety rating or iRating. So it is a fantastic time to play around, test cars and see what you like heading into a new season.

It's modeled after the real-world Grand Prix season and features many of the same tracks in the real world, with the additional spaces filled in by other premier road and street courses from around the world. These races are run to their full real-world distances.

iRacing Minimum Requirements

The graphics demands are moderate, so any mid-range graphics card from the past few years, such as the Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or ATI Radeon HD 7850 @ 2GB, should deliver the performance needed for this game.

PESC is the top tier of road sim racing in iRacing, and is a destination for professional sim racing teams and drivers.

iRacing Pricing Summary

All subscriptions include 23 cars and 30 tracks, our full premium service, and all the racing you want 24/7. If you wish to buy additional cars, they cost a one-time fee of $11.95. If you want to buy additional tracks, they cost a one-time fee of either $11.95 or $14.95 depending on the track.

iRacing currently has race “farms” in Sydney, Amsterdam, and Boston. Sessions where some member pings are best to Amsterdam, and some other member pings are best to Sydney are placed onto our Boston farm to reduce the overall pair-wise latency between drivers.
